The use of artificial turf for the construction of sports fields started in the middle of 20th century. Artificial grass was first used in 1966 in Astrodome in Houston Texas for the construction of an American football pitch. The artificial grass was installed in the largest world stadium for indoor sports.
This initial move was a success because in the succeeding decades, many people have started using artificial grass for a number of reasons. It was during this time that its use was extended to outdoor purposes and for the construction of outdoor stadiums in the US and Canada.

Aesthetic Quality
Despite the higher purpose of child play, grass came about purely because of its aesthetic contribution to vast, empty yard space. A perfectly manicured lawn can certainly attribute beauty to a home, but it doesn’t have to be expensive or consume a ton of time and resources.
