In recent years, toxic runways have often been reported, parents and children are concerning about the quality of school’s sports courts. The toxic runways are usually made of silicon PU and rubber granule. Due to the complicated construction, the materials are many kinds and the quality is difficult to control. Some of the raw materials made from abandoned tires, they are prone to toxic gases after exposure to the sun, which is harmful to children's health.
Glue is a must during PU flooring construction which is a high risk of toxic. It is easy to grow bacteria and moss in PU materials surface, it is worse in wet condition. When rains, the PU surface is slippery and easy to pond water. It will take at least two or three days to dry by disturb scheduled or daily activities.
